Application Scope:
Dry powdery materials and small granular materials—such as cement, fly ash, lime, grain, and chemical raw materials. Shaftless screw conveyors are particularly suitable for conveying viscous or easily entangled materials. It is used for conveying materials such as cement, fly ash, mineral powder, and dry sand in concrete mixing plants (or towers), asphalt mixing plants, and dry mortar production lines. It is also widely utilized across various industries, including chemicals, building materials, grain processing, metallurgy, and electric power.
Working Principle:
As the spiral shaft rotates, the material—due to its own gravity and the friction generated against the trough walls—moves forward along the bottom of the conveyor trough, propelled solely by the rotating blades. The movement of the material past the intermediate bearings relies on the thrust provided by the material advancing behind it. The rotating spiral blades push the material forward to effect conveyance; the forces preventing the material from rotating along with the blades are the material's own weight and the frictional resistance exerted by the conveyor casing. The spiral shaft is equipped with a thrust bearing at the discharge end (the terminal point in the direction of material flow) to absorb the axial reaction force exerted by the material on the spiral. For conveyors of significant length, intermediate suspension bearings should be installed.
Usage Precautions
- Before operation, verify that the electrical circuits and lines are intact and unobstructed.
- Before and after a bulk cement truck pumps cement into the storage silo, activate the vibrator for 2–3 minutes.
- If the alarm on the cement silo is triggered, immediately stop pumping cement to prevent damage to the dust collection system.
- If airflow from the exhaust vent becomes restricted, check the dust filter cartridge for blockages; if blocked, clean it promptly.
- Before cleaning the filter cartridge, bind it securely with string in 2–3 places to prevent deformation during washing.
- After cleaning, allow the filter cartridge to dry completely before reinstalling and resuming operation.
- If the filter cartridge has undergone repeated cleaning and no longer effectively performs its dust removal function, it should be replaced immediately.
